This image has been taken on Nov 19, 2013 at 11.30 UTC using the T21 telescope of the iTelescope service (431mm, f/4.5). Conditions were not ideal because of the presence of the Moon. Predicted light curve for Comet C/2013 V5 (Oukaimeden)
Newly discovered comet C/2013 V5 (Oukaimeden) has been added to The Sky Live. The comet will reach perihelion on September 27, 2014 and, according to current estimates, it will become quite bright (magnitude 5-6) around that date. Currently comet’s brightness is around magnitude 18. See live position or compute ephemerides and generate sky charts.
The newly discovered comet C/2013 V3 Nevski has been added to The Sky Live. It’s now possible to see the comet’s live position or compute ephemerides and generate sky charts. Although predictions estimate it of magnitude 15-16, it recently brightened up, and some observers reporited it being around magnitude 10, so accessible with small instruments.

This picture is a result of stacking 15 images, 90 seconds exposure each, taken through a 10 cm f/5 astrograph. Stacking and image processing has been done using MaxIm DL and Photoshop. Faint details of the tail are visible.
This is a 300 seconds exposure obtained using a 0.10m f/5.0 astrograph. The comet is currently in the constellation of Virgo. The small spiral galaxy visible in the field is NGC 4030 (Mag 12.0).
